Claude Motion Graphics in 2026: Which Plan, and Four Ways to Make Them
November 5, 2026 · Eben - AskEditor · 14 min read

Claude motion graphics by plan: Claude Motion is Team and Enterprise only. Every plan has two ways without code, and Pro and up a third, with steps and costs.
Table of contents
Claude motion graphics are all over Instagram this autumn, but Anthropic's own tool for them, Claude Motion, is only on its Team and Enterprise plans: a Team of two is $480 a year. Three more ways work, two of them on every plan with no code.
The four ways, by plan. Prices are from Anthropic's own pages on 31 October 2026, checked again on 3 November 2026.
- Claude's chat, any plan, no code: ask for an animation, then screen record it, or ask for an MP4 (the YouTube channel Teacher's Tech got one; no Anthropic page promises it).
- AskEditor in Claude, any plan, no code: connect AskEditor, which we make, and ask for titles, charts and lists over your own clip or screen recording; its free plan exports a 1080p MP4 with no watermark, in your browser on a computer.
- Claude Code, Pro and up, if you write code: Claude writes the animation in code and renders an MP4 on your own computer.
- Claude Motion, Team and Enterprise only: Anthropic's own tool, in beta.
Take ours free: 41 video editing skills for Claude Code (Claude Pro and up, run from a terminal). Number counters, words behind you, magazine covers, captions and more, rendered on your own computer with nothing uploaded (the repo on GitHub). No comment, no DM, no email.

On 27 October 2026 we read the 48 top Instagram reels for "Claude video editing", posted by 36 accounts. The biggest has 2.1 million views, and 29 of the 48 ask you to comment for a guide, a repo or a waitlist. These three are ours, made in AskEditor:

What AskEditor adds: with the other ways, you change a video by asking Claude again or editing code. In AskEditor, which we make, every graphic lands on a timeline with each of its layers as its own bar, so you move a word, retime a line or swap a colour by hand, or by asking. This is our launch film, made that way:

We read 310 comments under 7 YouTube videos about making motion graphics with Claude. The most common question: "I have the max plan but I still don't get access to motion?"
Start here: which one is yours
- Why don't I have Claude Motion? Which plans have it, and what moving costs.
- Show me what it can make From one title card to a launch film, every layer editable.
- I don't code, on any plan Steps to an MP4, in the chat or on your own clips.
- I write code Claude Code, a library or HyperFrames.
- My team has Team or Enterprise What Claude Motion does, and what's unstated.
- Is there a cost per video? No plan says; what people report, and what comes on top.
Which plan has Claude Motion
Only Team and Enterprise, in beta, as of 3 November 2026. Free, Pro, Max and Ultra don't have it, and Anthropic's pages don't say why, or whether they will.
| Plan | Claude Motion | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No | $0 |
| Pro | No | $20 a month, or $200 a year paid up front (shown as $17 a month) |
| Max | No | $100 a month |
| Ultra (formerly "Max 20x") | No | $200 a month |
| Team | Yes, on by default | 2 to 150 members; a standard seat is $20 a month billed yearly, or $25 monthly |
| Enterprise | Yes, once an Owner turns it on | $20 a seat a month billed yearly, 20 seats at least ($4,800 a year), plus usage |
- The cheapest Team is two members on standard seats ("a minimum of two members", in Anthropic's words): $480 a year billed yearly, or $600 paid monthly.
- From Pro, billed the same way: $280 more a year billed yearly ($480 against $200), or $360 more paid monthly ($600 against $240).
- Two of you on Pro already pay $400 a year billed yearly; the same two on Team pay $80 more.
- From Max ($1,200 a year): two standard Team seats cost less, but each gets 1.25 times Pro's usage per session, against Max's 5 times. A premium Team seat (6.25 times) is $100 a month billed yearly, so one premium and one standard seat cost $1,440 a year, $240 more than Max.
- Every seat on Team also gets Claude Code.

What AskEditor makes
One sentence makes a title card or a graphic in AskEditor, a launch film takes a template or a few sessions, and each one stays editable: open it and its layers spread out on the timeline, ready to move, recolour or hide.

From simple to complex. The title cards and the hook each come from the one sentence in their caption; the two below them are templates, run from your own screens:

Both are templates you run in AskEditor with your own screens and product name; neither is one of AskEditor's Pro templates. The launch film at the top is the Launch film template, one of AskEditor's Pro templates (not Claude Pro): your workspace buys it once for 1,000 AskEditor credits, then each run is 140 credits.
For scale: Creator brings 1,200 credits a month for $12 a month billed yearly, and a one-time pack is 700 credits for $19.99, so the template costs about $10 to $29 in credits and a run about $1.40 to $4.

The faceless explainer further down is the middle step: kinetic titles, a chart and a list over a voice. The launch film above is the top one.
What each way gives you back:
| Way | What you get | Changing one part later |
|---|---|---|
| Claude's chat | An animation you screen record, or an MP4 if asked | Ask again; the video is made anew |
| Claude Motion | An MP4 from a document or data | Ask Claude to change a detail |
| Claude Code | Code that renders an MP4 | Edit the code, render again |
| AskEditor | Graphics on a timeline, over your own clips | Move, retime or recolour any layer by hand, or ask |
Claude motion graphics without code
Without code, on any plan, Claude's chat makes a short animation you record or ask to export, and AskEditor, which we make, puts graphics on your own clips and exports an MP4. Both start at $0 on top of your Claude plan; on AskEditor, extras like music cost credits. On Pro and up the chat uses Claude's Opus 5.5 model; Free uses Sonnet.
For a product explainer, start with AskEditor over a screen recording of your product: your real screens stay in, and you get an MP4; the chat suits a short animated graphic.
In Claude's chat:
- Check one setting: in Claude's settings, under Capabilities, "Code execution and file creation" is on by default on every plan, Free too; you write no code yourself (Teacher's Tech shows where).
- Describe it: the size (1080×1920 for a Reel, 1920×1080 for YouTube), what moves and when, your words, and your colours and font. A screenshot of a style you like helps more than adjectives.
- Fix it one change at a time, by timestamp: "at 3 seconds, slow the title down".
Then get the video out:
| To get | Do this |
|---|---|
| A video of it | Screen record it: on a Mac, Shift, Command and 5, then Record Selected Portion to leave the rest of your screen out; on Windows 11, the Snipping Tool's video mode |
| An MP4 file | Ask Claude: Teacher's Tech asks for "1920×1080, 30 fps" and gets one (for a Reel, ask for 1080×1920). No Anthropic page promises it, so results vary |
| It over your own clip in CapCut | Ask for a plain green background, then remove it in CapCut (our Claude and CapCut guide shows how) |
With AskEditor, on your own clips:
- Connect it to Claude: a connector lets Claude use another app (how to connect it). Claude Free allows one, and you need a free AskEditor account.
- Ask in Claude's chat. Claude gives you a link to the editor, where you upload your clip or screen recording.
- Ask for the graphics in plain words; the film below took three sentences.
- Export a 1080p MP4 with no watermark, free, in your browser on a computer.

The three sentences that made it:
- "Turn this recording into a 16:9 explainer with no face on screen, only graphics."
- "Keep the clearest 20 to 30 seconds."
- "Make the graphics look expensive: kinetic titles on the key words, an animated chart, and a list that builds as I talk."
- What you need: a clip, or a recording of your screen (your product, say) or your voice; you needn't be on camera. Graphics like the film's moving words, chart and list come in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1; AskEditor's ready-made full screen title cards and openings (hooks) are 9:16 only, as of 31 October 2026.
- What it costs: AskEditor's free plan exports 1080p with no watermark and turns 30 minutes of speech a month into text (for captions and cuts); past that, 2 credits a minute. Asking through Claude uses your Claude limit, as any connector does. Credits also pay for music (20 a track). Free comes with none; a pack of 700 is $19.99. Creator is $20 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly.
- How many videos does Claude allow? Anthropic publishes no number for any plan, and its pages say running code and making files use more of your limit.
- Futurepedia's style prompts: its video offers a free atlas of 86 style prompts (the link is under Futurepedia's video) to paste into a new chat in Claude; of a version made with Sonnet, the model Free uses, it says it "looks just as good".
- Your next step: try the chat's steps tonight, or connect AskEditor; then avoid the generic look.

If you write code
With Claude Code (Pro and up), Claude writes the animation in a code-based animation library or HeyGen's free HyperFrames and renders the MP4 on your own computer.
| Tool | What it needs | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | Pro, Max, Ultra, Team or Enterprise; its installer needs no Node.js | Your Claude plan |
| A code-based animation library | Node.js and FFmpeg | Read its licence before using it for a company |
| HyperFrames | Node.js 22 or newer, and FFmpeg | Free, open source |
- It takes iterations: Lukas Margerie says "the prompt is 10%, the harness 90%"; his showcase film took "163 model calls and nearly 7 hours".
- The costs the videos leave out: paid voices, image and music models, and other subscriptions ("they have 10 monthly subscriptions", a commenter wrote, 131 likes).
- HyperFrames' own steps:
npx hyperframes doctorchecks your computer;npx hyperframes init my-videostarts a project, and in its foldernpx hyperframes previewshows it andnpx hyperframes rendermakes the MP4. - AskEditor works here too: its plugin opens the editor beside the chat in the Code tab of Claude's desktop app; in a terminal it gives you a link to the editor. Like any Claude Code plugin, its instructions count toward your Claude usage on every turn.
- Free skills for Claude Code: our 41 free video editing skills (on GitHub) add effects such as a number counter, a magazine cover, words behind you and captions, rendered on your own computer with nothing uploaded. For the editor with every layer editable, connect AskEditor.

Two of the biggest reels of the wave were made this way, with Claude Code (shown from Instagram):
Claude Motion on a team
Claude Motion turns a document, a dashboard or data into a short animated video in the Claude app; you change it by asking Claude to change any detail (a word, a number, the timing), and it exports an MP4.
- Where: in a chat, or from Claude's Output menu, then Motion.
- Not stated on Anthropic's pages: the longest video, its size and shape, sound, and whether it takes your own footage.
- Usage: "longer or more complex animations use more of your limit than a typical message", in Anthropic's words.
- In kaye.creatives' test against a motion designer, Claude Motion made a first edit in 34 minutes to the designer's 5 hours; the designer won on taste.
What a video costs you
No Claude plan states how many videos it allows; Anthropic gives a 5 hour and a weekly limit with no numbers. What people report from Claude's chat and Claude Code:
| Who | What they report | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| A commenter | "used 87% of my weekly usage in one prompt" | Not given |
| A commenter | A first video took "about 5% of my weekly limit" | Pro |
| A commenter | "20 or so minutes for around 1 minute clip" (time to make) | Not given |
| Futurepedia | "the fastest I have ever burned through my usage" | Not given |
- On top of Claude: a voice or music service if you want one; on AskEditor, its free plan, credits for music (20 a track), or Creator from $12 a month billed yearly.
Change it, and avoid the look
Change one part without starting over by asking (Claude Motion), by timestamp (the chat), in the code (Claude Code), or on a timeline (AskEditor); and give Claude references and your brand, or it looks like everyone else's.
- The generic look is the most common complaint: "that 'ick' factor… with all the purple".
- References and your brand: give Claude screenshots of your product, your logo and colours, and a film you like; kaye.creatives calls references and brand assets most of the work.
- Screenshots of a style gave Paul J Lipsky far better results than a plain prompt.
- Your brand: AskEditor's brand kit (logo, colours, fonts) is on every plan, Free included.
- Your next step: without code, try the chat's steps or connect AskEditor; with code, ask Claude Code for a HyperFrames film; on Team, open Output, then Motion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Claude Motion free? No. It is only on Claude's Team plan (two members from $480 a year) and Enterprise, in beta.
Can I make Claude motion graphics on the free plan? Yes, without code: Claude's chat builds the animation and you screen record it, or ask for an MP4 (not promised); or AskEditor, which connects to Claude Free, puts graphics on your own clips.
Can Claude make an MP4? Claude Motion exports MP4. Outside it, no Anthropic page says the chat exports video, though Teacher's Tech asked and got one; Claude Code renders MP4s on your computer with a code library or HyperFrames.
Do I need to code? Not for the chat or AskEditor. The Claude Code way is for people who write code.
Does it work on Windows? Yes: Claude, Claude Code and AskEditor all run on Windows.
How long can a Claude Motion video be? Anthropic's pages don't say; they say longer animations use more of your usage limit.
