- AskEditor is an AI video studio: a chat agent that plans and makes videos, and a real timeline editor where everything it makes stays editable. It is not a prompt-to-clip generator with no editor, and not an editor with an AI feature bolted on.
- Two things people arrive to do, and both are first class: **make a video from a sentence** (a talking video with one of our presenters, a UGC ad, a launch cut) and **edit footage they already shot** (captions, reframe, cut the pauses, background music, a logo in the corner, a designed lower third).
- Generated video runs on Slate, our own model, priced per second of finished film. Edits of a person's own clip cost no credits; captions are priced by the minute. A plan is quoted before it runs and nothing spends until the person approves it.
- Everything the agent makes lands on a frame-accurate timeline, so a fix is a tweak rather than a re-roll. The same workspace posts and schedules to six networks with a caption written per network.
- Brand: a kit set once (fonts, colours, logo, caption style) is applied to every video, which is the thing people ask for most and the reason to keep one workspace rather than a stack of single-purpose tools.
- Primary audience: founders and small marketing teams who make their own content, creators who post several times a week, and sellers who send short videos instead of long emails.
